Sustainable development is becoming an increasingly urgent problem in the modern world, and universities can play a key role in shaping an environmentally responsible approach to the lifestyle and education of students.

A meeting with Ekaterina Gorshkova, the project manager at the Environmental Management Laboratory at the Center for Natural Resources and Sustainable Development of the Kazakh-German University, was held at the AIU. 

The aim of the project is to promote a sustainable lifestyle in universities and make changes in three key areas of the university: infrastructure, education and science. Within the framework of this initiative, efforts are being made to make the university more environmentally sustainable, integrate the principles of sustainable development into its infrastructure, educational programs and scientific research.

At a recent meeting on cooperation between universities, Dean of the Faculty of Economics Kiyalbek Akmoldoev, Head of the Department of Management Turdukan Bekimbetova and President of the club of the Center for Sustainable Development discussed potential partnerships and ways to contribute to the project.
